Mr. Terry Lee Long, Sr., 70, of Dayton, Virginia, passed away Monday, October 3, 2011, at his son's residence in Timberville.
Mr. Long was born in Briery Branch, Virginia on April 26, 1941, the son of the late Loreen Long.
He worked at Marvel, Dayton, in the processing department and retired from Tyson.
He was the husband of Rebecca Ann (Landrum) Long, who survives.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Virginia Carol Curry and husband Richard of Broadway, two sons Timothy W. Long and companion Rose Marie Beasley of Timberville, and Terry Lee Long, Jr. and wife Tina of Port Orchard, WA, a brother, Wilbur Long and wife Ann of Harrisonburg. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Anthony Long, Charles Lee Long, Shiranna Marie Long, Bridget Lee Long, Richard Lee Curry, Jr. and Lisa Marie Landrum Curry; and one great grandson, Mickey Calvin Long and a great granddaughter on the way, Alexis Foster.
A funeral service will be held at Briery Branch Church of the Brethren, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 8, with Pastor Randy Cosner and Pastor Paul Roth officiating. Burial will follow at Briery Branch Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater. The casket will be closed.
