Obituary for Sean Benjamin Stallings

Sean Benjamin Stallings, 41, of Port Republic, VA passed away Friday, November 24th, at his home.

He was born in Columbus, Mississippi on March 27, 1976, and was the son of the Robert S. and Joy (Flowers) Stallings.

Sean was a kind friend to everyone and had a great many talents. He was a equine farm manager, horse trainer and riding instructor, carpenter, and metal lathe machinist. He loved to travel and was fluent in Spanish and French. Sean had a great love for animals, especially horses, dogs, and cats. He enjoyed soccer. Sean attended Emory University in Atlanta.

Surviving in addition to his parents is his sister, Shannon J. Stallings and husband Prentice Tompkins, of Port St. Joe, FL; nieces, Naomi Mae Tompkins, Virginia Tompkins, and Essie Tompkins; aunts, Gay Grace, and Bonnie Roth; and cousins, Manuela Goulden, Patrick Goulden, Kyoko Sadoshima, Mimi Sadoshima, Andrew Grace, Zac Grace, Ivara Roth and Sam Roth.

A service celebrating the life of Sean will be held at Port Republic Mutual Cemetery at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 with Steve Saufley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harrisonburg-Rockingham SPCA, PO Box 413, Harrisonburg, VA 22803.
