Obituary for Jo Ann Gentry

Jo Ann Gentry, 75, of Mt. Crawford, passed away at her home on January 7, 2019. She was born August 31, 1943 in Rockingham County to Clyde T. and Dorothy (Reedy) Robinson.

Jo Ann worked in food service for most of her life. She worked at L&S Diner, Thomas Harrison Middle School, Wonder Bread Thrift Store, RMH Wellness Center (Trackside Café) and was a sample server at Costco until her illness.

On her 18th birthday, she eloped with her high school sweetheart and husband of 57 years, Jackie “Jack” W. Gentry.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Keith A. Gentry of Harrisonburg, and Michael W. Gentry of Grottoes; two grandchildren, Chase and Karleigh Gentry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Clyde Jr., Daniel, Harold and Virgil Robinson.

At her request, she will be cremated. There will be a private service at a later date.

She was loved by everyone that knew her. RIP to our sweet angel JoAnn.
