Obituary for Margaret H. Pappas

Margaret H. Pappas, 100, of Murrells Inlet, SC, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at her daughters home in Bridgewater.

Margaret was born in Jersey City, NJ, on December 28, 1917, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Frances (Erdman) Huck.

She was a teacher and retired in 1968, and attended Dayton United Methodist Church.

On October 17, 1942 she was united in marriage to George A Pappas, Jr., who preceded her in death on September 19, 1983.

Margaret is survived by two daughters, Christine Simmons of Bridgewater, and Margaret Pappas of Murrells Inlet, SC.; a son, Pete Pappas, of Marietta, GA; five grandchildren, Joseph Simmons and wife Amy, Jamie Simmons and wife Amanda, Nick Pappas, Jenny Lambert, and Molly Baughman and husband Eston and six great-grandchildren, Paul, Lily, Palmer, Cole, Abby, and Anna.

Burial will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Dayton Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Carper officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sentara RMH Hospice, 2010 Health Campus Drive, Harrisonburg, VA 22801 or to your local SPCA.
